resource
A resource is a source of information about a particular topic. For example, books are called
resources because of the information they contain. One naming scheme used to locate resources on the web
is called the Uniform Resource Locator (URL). A very popular resource on the web
are the search engines
like Yahoo, WebCrawler, Lycos and others because they maintain database lists, indexes and pointers to
other resources on the web.
